
I am a UT Austin biomedical engineering and pre-med student interested in medical imaging, research, devices, and surgery.
My research explores the intersection of biology, medical imaging, and patient care. Through Tiny Earth, I isolated and tested soil bacteria for potential antimicrobial activity. At the UT Southwestern Cryo-Electron Microscopy Facility, I compared three methods of measuring cryo-lamella thickness using instrument estimates, electron-count ratios, and reconstructed tomograms.
I use electronics, programming, and computational modeling to investigate biomedical problems. My projects include a functional ECG device, a deep-learning model for classifying ECG arrhythmias, and a SolidWorks simulation of blood flow through a carotid artery. Each project has strengthened my ability to translate scientific concepts into practical designs and quantitative analyses.
I enjoy collaborative engineering challenges that require creativity and rapid problem-solving. I competed in the National Medical Device Make-a-Thon, developing a concept focused on NICU and neonatal care, and in the High School Solar Car Challenge, helping engineer a solar-powered endurance vehicle with integrated safety, electrical, and telemetry systems.
Outside of academics, I enjoy playing guitar and have experience performing as a solo artist in Dallas, Texas.
